Workshop Facilitator
About the Role
The Learn Through Active Play (LTAP) Workshop Facilitator is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of the LTAP workshop delivery for both in-service and post secondary educators. Responsibilities include managing pre-workshop communications of logistics (such as date, time, and location), delivering the workshop, and ensuring participants complete the pre and post-workshop evaluations. This role involves working closely with the LTAP team and key stakeholders to ensure smooth workshop delivery, and effective management of follow-ups in English and French.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver LTAP workshops as assigned.
- Collaborate with LTAP team members and external stakeholders to finalize workshop logistics.
- Communicate with stakeholders to confirm workshop details, including location, time, and any necessary adjustments.
- Ensure all workshop participants create and activate their Learn Through Active Play accounts as part of the registration and participation process.
- Ensure stakeholders are familiar with the evaluation process and provide necessary links for baseline and post-workshop evaluations.
- Follow up with stakeholders to confirm receipt of evaluations and ensure participants complete them.
- Seek support from the LTAP team as needed throughout the workshop process.
- Attend check-in meetings with the LTAP team
- Report to the LTAP Project Lead and team as needed
- It is estimated that it takes approximately 6 hours to complete the pre and post-workshop activities and the delivery of the workshop itself.
- Submit reports as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- A basic knowledge of webinar hosting virtual online platforms required (Zoom, Google Meets, etc)
- Experience in workshop creation, facilitation, training, or childcare-related programs
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
Compensation:
Starting at $240 per workshop delivered
The position also involves 10 hours of training for which the candidates will receive $30/hour for a total of $300.00.

We are seeking a highly motivated Program Coordinator to support Learn Through Active Play (LTAP) by engaging with childcare centres and early learning professionals, promoting workshop participation, and coordinating program delivery.
LTAP is a free professional development program designed to help educators integrate active play into daily programming through hands-on training, ongoing mentorship, and access to digital resources. Backed by research, the program equips educators with practical strategies to create engaging, developmentally appropriate active play experiences that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, contact, and recruit childcare centres, preschools, and early learning facilities for LTAP workshops.
- Build relationships with centre directors, administrators, and educators to understand their needs and showcase the value of LTAP.
- Secure workshop bookings through various outreach methods, including phone calls, emails, cold calling, and MailChimp campaigns.
- Follow up with interested childcare providers to confirm participation and maximize engagement.
- Maintain a database of prospective and current childcare centres, updating project tracking documents regularly.
- Help the Lead Project Manager organize and maintain timelines and tasks within the project management dashboard.
- Represent Active for Life at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Provide feedback to improve workshop offerings, recruitment strategies, and project materials.
- Organize and maintain Google Drive files and create draft templates as needed.
- Assist with website updates and review content for accuracy and relevance.
- Provide regular reports to the Project Team Lead and attend meetings as needed.
- Support general administrative and project coordination tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
- Proven experience in recruitment, sales, or client booking.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms such as Monday, Gworkspace, Zoom, MailChimp, and Wordpress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies.

- Analyze social media performance metrics and adjust strategies for improved reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align social media efforts with marketing campaigns.

- Strengthen messaging so it feels supportive, respectful, and empowering for educators.
- Maintain and reinforce LTAP professional, warm, evidence-informed, and inviting voice
Quality & Collaboration
- Ensure accuracy of terminology and alignment with LTAP educational principles.
- Maintain consistent formatting, structure, and style across materials.
- Provide constructive editorial suggestions and rationale to the team.
- Proofread final versions to support error-free publication.
- Work with the LTAP team to understand goals, messaging, and pedagogical intent.
- Collaborate in shared documents (Google Workspace) and track revisions and progress.
- Suggest editorial standards, templates, or guidelines where helpful.
- Manage deadlines within the flexible monthly time commitment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in content editing, writing, or communications.

Workshop and Professional Development Program Facilitation (French)
- Deliver engaging, hands-on LTAP workshops in French to early learning professionals in childcare settings and early childhood education post-secondary students.
- Coordinate workshop logistics, including scheduling, location, participant communication, and resource preparation.
- Collect and manage baseline and post-workshop evaluations in both official languages.
- Ensure workshop content is culturally and linguistically relevant for Francophone communities.
- Support the delivery of LTAP’s ongoing support options such as mentoring, webinars, and related initiatives.
Francophone Outreach & Recruitment
- Promote the LTAP program to Francophone childcare centres and early learning professionals across Canada
- Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, professional networks, and training institutions.
- Represent LTAP at Francophone events, conferences, and forums.

Translation & Editing
- Translate LTAP program materials, including workshop slides, handouts, facilitator notes, and participant resources, from English to French.
- Translate website content, outreach materials, newsletters, and general communication pieces as required.
- Review and edit translated materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency with LTAP terminology.
- Adapt content when necessary to ensure cultural and linguistic appropriateness for various Francophone communities across Canada.
Collaboration & Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with the LTAP team to ensure all translated content aligns with program messaging and learning outcomes.
- Maintain a glossary of key terms and ensure consistent use across all materials.
- Provide recommendations to improve readability, cultural relevance, and educator usability.
- Review and respond to feedback during revision cycles.
Project Coordination
- Track translation tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
- Organize and maintain translated files within shared drives.
- Support scheduling and documentation needs related to translation phases.
- Assist with updating project tracking documents and translation logs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
- Demonstrated experience in professional translation, preferably within education, early childhood, public health, or community programming.
